Daylight sighting by hunter near the Alabama / Mississippi border

Late one afternoon in December 2002 the witness was hunting along a fenceline near home when deer ran past and the witness's dog chased them then fled. Shortly after the witness heard movement in a pine thicket and saw a tall hairy biped emerge, run down the fenceline, cross the fence while chasing the deer, and disappear downhill in under a minute without acknowledging the witness. A follow-up interview added size and appearance details and noted missing pets and livestock near the home.
