Daytime sighting of reddish-colored bigfoot near Fairbanks
Driving home on Auburn Drive in Fairbanks in July 2009 around 6 p.m., the witness noticed a figure standing by the roadside about 100 yards ahead. As the witness closed to about 50 yards the figure bolted into the woods toward the elementary school, ran away from the road then turned to run parallel to it before disappearing. The witness stopped at the entry point, later circled via side roads to the school parking lot to look into the woods, but did not see it again.
Family on their way home see a large, hairy creature cross the road
Four people driving home reported a large hairy bipedal figure crossing the road in front of them and disappearing into brush toward a river. They described it as about seven feet tall and ape-like, covering a roughly 35-foot-wide road in four to five steps. They later returned to look for tracks and reported finding unfamiliar inward-pointing prints, but no other sounds or signs.
Sighting by Army personnel on manuevers
During summer military training the witness was camped above treeline with a group and noticed movement across a valley about half a mile away. A dark figure crossed snowfields on two legs with long strides and swinging arms, moving fast in a way the witness felt was unlike a bear or a human. The group watched together until the figure blended into rocks and disappeared, and they were too frightened to inspect the area that night or the next day.
Witness observers 6 foot, shaggy, dark brown creature off Richardson Hwy
The witness was rabbit hunting along a dirt road when a very tall, shaggy dark brown figure appeared about 30 feet ahead, stared and grunted, then walked quietly into the woods. The witness did not feel threatened but turned back toward the car while hearing cracking branches and low-to-high tones from where the figure went. Some sounds were answered from the other side of the road, prompting the witness to walk faster.
