Afternoon sighting in hills between Oakland and Sutherlin

The witness and a friend were hiking on logging roads when they paused for a restroom break and the witness walked a short way back down the road. The witness saw a big, hairy, dark figure coming down a steep embankment upright with heavy thumping steps and crashing brush. After the witness screamed the figure stopped and looked toward them, and both hikers ran away shouting about a bear.
