Man recalls hitting and killing a strange creature with his car near Cochran

The primary witness was driving alone at about 50 mph on a highway just after dark when a small bipedal creature ran into the road from the right. He struck it squarely with the center of his grill, knocking it to the roadside, then examined the carcass up close. The body remained overnight until a wildlife officer retrieved it early the next morning with no identification provided. Neighbors and passing motorists also viewed the carcass, which was discussed locally for years.
