Deer hunter scouting with his family encounters two Bigfoots near Houtzdale
A hunter walking a dense tunnel-like trail to place salt blocks exited into an open area and saw two large upright creatures about 25 yards away moving away toward the tree line. He watched the first in detail from the side and rear and glimpsed the second's back through trees, hearing footsteps in the grass but no vocalizations or odor. He then discarded the salt block, escorted his wife and child back to their vehicle, and left the area.

The witness was driving west on a highway in the afternoon when he noticed a stationary stocky figure covered in reddish long hair standing beyond a fallow field in front of woods. He saw only the upper body and head for about three seconds before a bank and foliage blocked the view. His companion was asleep and saw nothing, and he was unable to stop or return to the location.

In summer 1978 a child sitting on a house deck noticed the family dog growling and horses running agitated toward the barn. The child then glimpsed a large dark brown to black bipedal figure with a massive chest running in a lower field about 100 to 200 yards away. The figure disappeared after the child screamed, and the father later searched the area but found nothing.

The witness was coasting silently on a bicycle on a mountain road when an animal was seen crossing ahead. At close range the witness noted long dark hair and watched it grasp separate tree branches with both hands to climb an embankment. Concluding it was not a bear, the witness turned the bicycle around and rode away fast without being noticed.
