The witness was clearing a trail near the Chipola River on a summer evening when he felt watched. He turned to see a tall black hair-covered biped watching him from behind a small tree about 40 yards away. After watching for about 10 seconds, the witness backed away frightened as the creature turned and walked calmly into the woods; he noted a rank odor just before and loud yells and grunts from the woods after.

The witness was riding in a truck at daybreak when she saw a small black furry animal standing upright by a tree beside the road. She did not mention it at the time and no one else in the truck noticed it. It turned sideways and disappeared quickly into the vegetation in less than a minute.

The witness and a companion were walking through an overgrown orchard near the witness's home in late afternoon when they heard a loud stomping sound nearby. They then saw the partial rear view of a large upright hair-covered animal moving away into dense brush while making a guttural sound, and both fled to the house. Deep ground impressions, broken trees, and loud screams were also noted around the time of the encounter.

The witness was driving a rural road at night for work when he stopped to watch an upright creature on the roadside that appeared to be smelling and examining possible roadkill. He watched from his vehicle for about three minutes in his headlights as the creature stood up and walked toward him to within about ten feet. The creature then turned away, walked into the ditch and woods, and the witness drove away and avoided the road afterward.
