While driving in a gated area to bear hunt, the witness saw a tall black upright figure moving through saplings. On driving back through the same spot, the companion watched a similar tall black figure with wide shoulders and a rounded head for 15-20 seconds before it stepped behind a tree and vanished. Moments later the companion saw branches about seven feet high moving in a row as if something tall had run through.
Fisherman has late afternoon sighting on Upper Priest River
The witness was fishing upstream on the Upper Priest River when he felt watched. On returning downstream he saw movement behind a tree and then a large dark human-like figure standing 20 to 30 yards away. The figure looked at him for a few seconds, then turned and walked away bipedally with little noise. The witness ran back to his truck and avoided the area for the rest of the summer.
Visitor to a ranch has evening sighting near Priest River
The witness was outside a ranch house at night while taking a dog out. He noticed a large figure standing just beyond the tree line about 100 feet away and watched it for one to two minutes. The figure then moved quickly along the tree line and disappeared into the forest. The witness went back inside, and the next day found wind-distorted imprints in the snow in the area.

On a Halloween night in the early 1990s, the witness was walking at the back of a large group heading to a mountain lake after a hayride. At a trail fork he saw a being crouched at the base of a tree very close to him. As he passed, the being stood to about eight feet, kept its gaze averted, and then walked silently away up the trail out of sight.

The witness was picking huckleberries with family members in a clearcut area when she sensed a presence and looked up. At about 100 yards she saw a very tall dark-brown hairy biped crest a knoll, step over stumps, glance toward her, and continue down a steep brushy slope out of sight. She felt no fear and noted its human-like arm swing and ease moving bipedally.

The witness was driving his pickup on a logging road when a creature stepped off a 5-ft embankment about 30 ft away and slid down to the road on its feet. It walked alongside the slow-moving truck within arm's length, then crossed in front, holding a hand toward the hood before leaving the road with very long strides into undergrowth. The witness braked, waited, then got out to search for footprints but found none.
Multiple sightings by northern Idaho family
The witness was waiting with his son and daughter when their dog became agitated and stared uphill. They walked down the road and up toward old stumps where a short yellow-haired individual kept stumps between itself and them. At about eight feet under fallen logs it hissed and swatted at the dog while the daughter ran downhill, and the witness did not crawl under to look closer.

The witness was riding in a pickup with a relative scouting timber in a steep mountainous area when a large hairy upright animal crossed the road in front of the truck. The animal came down one bank, crossed in a few fast strides, and went down the opposite slope out of sight while brush broke behind it. The relative stopped and got out with a rifle but could not relocate it.

In the summer of 1967, the witness was riding as a passenger in a pickup returning from farm work when he felt tingling and looked behind the vehicle. He saw a tall, long-haired bipedal animal covered in hair that crossed the road behind them in four steps before distance and dust hid it. The animal did not look toward the truck. The witness kept the sighting secret for years and did not know if his two companions saw it.
