At dusk the witness was walking home with a companion when they saw a tall creature standing behind a tree at the edge of the woods by the road about 15 feet away. The companion noticed it first and asked the witness what it was. They watched it for 20 seconds or more and noted its glowing red eyes and ape-like features.
