At dusk the witness was walking home with a companion when they saw a tall creature standing behind a tree at the edge of the woods by the road about 15 feet away. The companion noticed it first and asked the witness what it was. They watched it for 20 seconds or more and noted its glowing red eyes and ape-like features.

Two teenage boys encounter a white ape-like animal
Two boys were playing in the afternoon near a slate dump and coal mine entrance when they saw an upright gray-white ape-like creature standing at the mine mouth with an arm resting on a high timber. They watched each other briefly while it moved its arm, and the boys became frightened and ran to get parents. When they returned, the creature was gone.
