Woman has close daylight sighting while driving through Payne's Prairie outside Gainesville
The witness was driving in the early morning with a young child when a hair-covered biped crossed the road in front of the car and paused. The witness stopped a short distance away and watched the figure before it continued across the road and disappeared into roadside vegetation. The figure was described as muscular and wearing a crude covering draped over its shoulders.

The witness was taking a morning walk on the paved road in front of the house when a creature covered in green vegetation crossed the road at a small bridge over a creek. The creature moved with an ape-like lope, looked toward the witness, then crawled down the bridge embankment into the shallow creek and disappeared. The witness ran to the creek but found no trace.

A child jogging on a dirt road in the evening to a friend's home encountered a large hairy figure that stepped out of roadside woods about 30 feet away. Both the witness and the figure stopped and stared at each other for a few seconds before the figure tilted its head. The witness then ran to the friend's home; the figure made no sound and did not follow.
