Rock throwing near Neosho, Missouri (2025)
Three young men walked a trail at night in a conservation area to look for a pond. Rocks were thrown toward two of them from the woods, strange pacing, a low growl, and rhythmic booming sounds followed them. They found fresh green trees snapped and laid across the trail blocking the path, then were hurried out by more rock throws and close movement before the woods went quiet and normal night sounds returned near the car.

A couple camping alone heard a tree fall, paired tree knocks, grunts, and a growl during the day and evening. After midnight, heavy human-like footsteps circled their tent and campfire, left, returned, then moved off as vehicle lights were flashed. Two companions scouting a conservation area spotted a large dark bipedal figure about 150 to 200 yards away on a trail. The figure crouched, swayed, then moved quickly to the right and disappeared. The men went to the spot and found a very large fresh footprint and freshly broken small trees.
Homeowners find fresh snow tracks of a possible adult and juvenile north of Forsyth
The witness and a companion were asleep at home when they were awakened around midnight by a thump on a storage box beneath the bedroom window and sensations described as footsteps. The next afternoon they found two lines of large human-like barefoot prints in fresh snow leading toward and past the window, merging into one line before crossing the road toward a treeline. The larger prints were measured at 13 to 14 inches long with strides over five feet, while smaller prints were interpreted as a juvenile. Photos and measurements were taken before melt and wind degraded the tracks.

The witness was staying at his uncle's cattle farm to shoot a suspected coyote stealing chickens. From a barn loft at night he watched a tall bipedal creature emerge from the tree line and move very quickly toward the coops. After he shouted, it growled, screamed and charged the barn, shaking it, while he fired dozens of rounds down at it before it fled to the woods. No blood was found, only partial tracks, and a conservation officer told them to keep quiet.

The witness was lying in bed in an off-grid camper when surrounding animal sounds went silent. Over about an hour the witness heard a single knock, shed creaking as if pushed, rustling and footsteps on gravel, a possible growl and chewing, and a single whoop with no reply. The next day the witness found a large footprint in the gravel near where the sounds originated and photographed it with a tape measure.

The witness and her daughter's friend drove past a huge gray-skinned creature standing in a highway ditch with its back to the road. It stayed motionless in the headlights and appeared to be rummaging in trash. The next day the witness and her parents found large footprints with toes in mud and took photos showing a tree bend, an X, rock clacking sounds, and a possible face figure on the ridge.

The witness was deer hunting alone from an elevated stand at dusk when deer behaved nervously. A large unseen animal approached behind the stand, breathing heavily, sniffing, producing knocks and screams, and pacing before moving west. The witness turned on a headlamp and saw a tall dark figure from behind that grunted and ran along a creek bank into the woods.

The witness backpacked solo to a remote campsite and spent the night in a hammock. Throughout the night he heard knocks, screams, howls, voices, footsteps, rocks and twigs landing nearby, and felt his tarp, hammock lines and gear being touched. He also noted a bent-tree structure near camp the prior evening and disturbed logs and tree piles in the morning, but reported seeing no creature.

Two relatives found unusually large footprints soon after rain and photographed them. The larger impression was described as about 18 inches long and 6 inches wide with three clear toes and a possible fourth, with smaller tracks alongside. From the car area she heard the same loud vocalization coming from across the lake where she had been and saw the fishermen hurrying across the dam, after which all parties left.

A couple watching movies in a barn heard prolonged loud splashing along a nearby lake shore that stopped when a flashlight was shone toward it and then resumed in a different spot. They felt uneasy and left for the night. The next morning the wife found a very large human-like footprint with partial prints on the shore and kept a broken cast of it.

Two boys were gigging for fish in a shallow river at night when they heard splashing from objects thrown into the water. They shone flashlights across the river and saw an upright human-like creature bring down a dead tree into the river and move in the water. The boys fled to their cabin, and a tree not present the day before was seen in the river the next morning.

The caller was alone at night in a gazebo overlooking a lake on his grandparents' 40-acre property in northern Missouri in August 2011. He heard a single sharp knock from below the dam, then felt overwhelming fear and retreated to the house before returning. After shining a powerful green laser toward the swampy area, something crashed loudly down the hill breaking trees, and next day he found freshly snapped trees.

The witness was driving home from fishing with two companions around 12:50 a.m. when they spotted a large hair-covered figure with its head in a roadside trash can. They pulled close and watched it run on all fours then stand and walk on two legs in their headlights before it escaped behind a building toward a creek. Four people were camping around a campfire at Rocky Fork Lake in July 2004 when a large animal came from the woods to the south, circled the campsite three times at close range, and ran toward the lake emitting a high-pitched howl and pig-like squeals before running behind the camp. The group later noticed smeared foot impressions at the site, but rain had obscured detail and no identifiable evidence was preserved.
