While walking alone down the dirt road the witness heard branches breaking then heavy elephant-like running steps behind him. Something kept pace with him in the trees with loud nasty huffing wheezing breathing. He ran home hyperventilating and his parents later found a pushed-over trail in the tall grass where something had run.

At his uncle's hillside house at night the adults saw something moving trees and went with guns to look. In a flashlight beam the witness saw a huge tall creature distinguished by massive upright pointed ears. His uncle fired a shotgun and it gave the same loud girthy scream heard on the Fourth of July, after which his father carried him running back to the house.

While working with a helicopter crew netting elk, the witness asked for a low survey flight. They hovered over large straight-line footprints coming from pines through deep snow, noted possible hair drag at the edges, followed them until the line entered a deep ravine and was lost.

While retrieving her puppy in daylight, the guest carried him back through the lower side yard and found many footprints in mud of four distinct sizes, some two inches deep, showing toe ridges. She powdered and photographed them, measured examples about seventeen by nine inches and thirteen by eight inches with a sixty-three-inch stride in one running sequence, and made three plaster casts despite inexperience.

After getting a new puppy that alerted in panic, the guest followed it to the side deck and leaned over the edge. Something directly in front of her gave a loud huff-growl she felt physically, though she saw nothing despite a flashlight. A branch then snapped high in the tall trees to her left and fell, after which the dog had already fled inside and she backed inside.

After moving to a remote wooded property, the family found a very clear large human-like footprint with toes that was photographed with a tape measure. On separate occasions the child experienced a rock thrown past him near a creek, faint whooping, small trees moving together, a high scream-like whoop followed by a tree being pushed over, and the adults heard trees breaking and splashing into a pond. Dogs that normally chase sounds fled back to the house during these events.

While bow hunting on the ground on a calm fall day, the witness noticed the woods go completely quiet with no wind or animal sounds. A huge crash like a tree falling and roots snapping was then heard close behind in thick cover. The witness left the area and avoided it afterward.

A family reported ongoing activity including rocks thrown, night vocals, and banging on the house that frightened children. An investigator sent to the property reported beds, tree structures including a blind overlooking the house, unusual paintings, and footprints. While with a film cast near Mount Adams, the witness and many others watched a ball of light hover in front of the mountain with heat-like distortion then shoot away. Within about 15 minutes they heard knocks moving around. The next morning they followed tracks about three-quarters of a mile to a small creek where they stopped.

A tribal camper visiting a neighboring Yakima camp for an evening card game returned to find his own camp destroyed with footprints throughout. The damage was attributed to a Sasquatch-like creature. The group left the area quickly.

While helping with a book, the witness parked his RV in a vineyard during a rainy night, felt slapping and pushing on the vehicle, and found paw-like muddy prints down its side in the morning. The next day he hiked five miles into wilderness with friends to gather berries and mushrooms and watched a hairy, bearded figure peeking from behind rocks and trees. The group left the area that night feeling watched.

The following spring the guest returned to the same camp with a hunting partner and girlfriend for a weekend camp. After dinner visitors left, the partner fired a revolver at a large bipedal animal that jumped from the creek bed, then all three watched it run parallel across a sparsely timbered hillside in spotlight, noting reflective eyes and remarkable speed while keeping its gaze on them. The girlfriend reported it whistled at her, and next morning they found a single partial footprint in hard clay.

Two colleagues in Area X heard loud wood cracking behind a cabin and watched a leaning healthy tree bounce and snap. The teller says something large dropped from the upper branches to the ground and ran off, and a later measurement showed the trunk was about eighteen inches thick.

As a child the witness was scouting deer sign with his father when the family dog ran ahead and began yipping. They heard branches breaking and the dog go silent, and the father drew his sidearm and backed out with the child. The next day they returned with another officer and found the dead dog under cover near the father's tree stand, and the father said a huge Sasquatch-like beast was responsible.

Researchers visiting the property over about two years reported finding different-sized footprints, thermal-video figures that popped up and down in grass, rocks thrown while hiking, wood knocks and rock clacks, and a juvenile crouched in grass that one researcher approached. They interpret size differences as four individuals including two juveniles and two adults. They also collected casts, audio, and other trace evidence.

During deer season he watched a large black form come out of the woods and move along the tree line through a night-vision scope, dropping his rifle and fleeing. The witness was scouting remote mountain roads for fishing access when he found a newly placed stacked rock pile blocking the road. After stopping to inspect it, he heard something charge down the steep slope toward him and stop when he drew his pistol, then parallel him back to his vehicle unseen. He returned later with a hunting partner and heard coordinated whoops from multiple positions, and a few days later with a larger group found extensive tree damage, possible structures, and three sizes of bare human-like tracks.
Footsteps
The guest and his then-wife were walking near Notice Creek in Bluff Creek in the late afternoon. They heard slow footsteps in the forest duff approaching below them, then a loud crack and saw a tall tree shake violently. Frightened by the display of strength, they retreated to look from a bridge and later heard the footsteps leaving quickly.
Whoop in Georgia
As teenagers the witness and friends camped and hiked up a reputedly haunted mountain at night to look for a cabin. They were paralleled on both sides, heard whoops and powerful wood knocks and branches being ripped, then a large tree was pushed over close to them and they fled. The running camcorder captured the sounds and briefly illuminated two large almond-shaped red eyes that narrowed and turned away before the tree fell.
