After hearing loud footsteps, heavy breathing and branches snapping close by, the witness saw a tall shaggy creature about twenty feet away scraping at the ground for a couple minutes before standing, looking around and leaving down the valley.

Driving home at night, his headlights caught an alpha male and another in the road in front of the house. Around two in the morning one unzipping the tent heard something massive right outside that ran past with enough force to shake the tent and fled into the forest, waking the other. Morning showed most gifts gone except one plum and impressions around the tent.

One December evening the guest noticed the uncovered kitchen window looked smoky gray all over instead of glossy black while his daughter washed dishes. When she left, the gray shape stepped aside. Next morning he found tracks about twelve feet from the window and a broken shingle with a tennis-ball-sized stone where his bedroom wall had been struck overnight.

While setting out food one evening after a tree fell, the guest heard something large approach fast and saw two red eyes facing him. He recorded about five minutes as it looked at him and toward loud brush-tearing nearby, its eyes shifting color in the light. It later peeked from behind a tree about ten feet away before withdrawing. Next morning he found a track and a freshly split tree where it stood.

A week after moving into the second house, the guest, his wife, and his visiting parents were awakened around 2 a.m. by a sharp whistle and bipedal footsteps outside and aggressive banging on the bedroom window unit. In the morning they found spaced impressions leading from the tree line to both bedrooms and around the house, a river stone atop the high window unit, and a large forearm-shaped hair impression above garbage.
