The teenage volunteer and his younger cousin were biking and then walking a dense trail toward a waterfall when they smelled decay and heard rustling. A reddish-brown hairy arm reached through thick brush very close to the witness and snapped off a limb, showing a human-like hand. Both fled immediately, later told the foreman, and returned the next day to recover the bikes but found no tracks due to rocky ground.

While camping, three people waded across a flooded creek after climbing a nearby peak and noticed a set of blurred, fuzzy-edged footprints on the far side that had not been present an hour earlier. The group later returned to the site and found unusual scat.

A press report said three large footprint-like impressions were found on a Monday in the wooded Blue Hills area near Rice Lake. The figure looked at the witness and then moved slowly back into the woods. While descending about 300 yards, small pebbles were repeatedly tossed at them from behind, striking the witness in the back without injury until they began to run.

The witness arrived early to hike a park nature trail after overnight rain and found elk tracks on the muddy path. On top of the elk tracks was a set of much larger barefoot human-like prints continuing in the same direction for dozens of feet. The visitor opened food containers, ate bread, growled, overturned a cooler and carried off meat before leaving toward the river where vocalizations were heard. Large footprints and teeth marks were found the following morning.

Together they looked near where the helmet had been left and found about four large footprints in clay mossy ground.

While trying to sleep the witness heard movement in the treeline followed by a grunt and a loud unfamiliar scream estimated 50 to 100 yards away. In the morning the group found unfamiliar prints beside the fire pit and then left the area.
