Hunters find track in mountains above Falls City
The witness was scouting deer locations by vehicle with two relatives when he found a large human-like footprint at a logging-road turnaround overlooking a ravine. The relatives joined him to examine it closely and they found a coarse hair inside the print. They photographed and videotaped the print and kept the hair in a film container, but the hair was later lost while showing it to someone.

The witness was hunting elk along a ridge trail and noting elk, coyote, cougar and deer sign. About a mile from a spur road, just off the trail behind a small tree, the witness found an unusually large dark tubular scat that did not match known animals. The witness examined its size, color and contents with a stick and suggested it could possibly have come from a large primate-like animal.

Late at night the witness heard sounds from a large animal in the backyard corn garden while in the living room. The next day a large footprint was found in the garden and corn was missing from the tops of tall stalks with husks left on the ground. A photo of the track was taken.

The witness and a companion were tracking game near the edge of a swamp in the early morning when they found a single large human-like footprint among moose tracks. The witness described it as an 11-inch right foot with five toes and a large big toe, estimated to be a couple days old, with no other similar tracks found. Heavy rain prevented making a cast, and when the witness returned two days later the track was water-filled and unrecognizable.

The witness went alone to rifle-hunt deer and walked up an overgrown skid road beside a creek. About 150 yards up the road he noticed a large human-like footprint on the creek bank measuring about 17 inches long and 6 inches wide. He also saw additional prints on a small dirt mound that he interpreted as the maker leaving the area quickly.

Something ran across gravel behind them, slapped the side of their parked pickup three times, and shook branches while heavy footsteps were felt. After reaching the truck to leave, they heard a loud, close, high-pitched unearthly scream and drove away quickly.

Two men had finished dredging for gold and were talking when they noticed a large dark creature about 100 feet away partly behind a dead tree and tailings pile. The creature reached up and snapped off a tree limb, looked at them for 10 to 20 seconds while a strong smell was present, then turned and walked into the woods. They stayed in the area for two more weeks with no further sightings but reported smelling it several times.

On a warm summer evening at dusk in 2000, the witness was with two dogs at the edge of a forested ravine on the property. For about 10-15 minutes the witness heard something large moving through dense brush, branches snapping, and continuous loud roars and screams that continued despite yelling. The witness and a companion were gathering cattle on horseback near a river at dusk when their horses and the cattle became agitated and the horses bolted toward the riverbank. On the sandy bank they saw a tall figure squatting, which stood up and watched them for about 30 seconds before running into the trees, breaking a small tree as it fled. The witnesses returned the next morning but found little sign due to overnight rain.

The witness was fishing downstream from family members when he briefly saw the lower legs of a dark figure stepping from the creek onto the bank and into dense brush.
