Late at night the witness heard a very large bipedal animal moving through snowy woods to the woodline, breaking branches and small trees, but could see nothing despite moonlight. After listening with his wife from an upstairs window, he searched in the morning and reported large humanlike tracks, a crushed fence, and a dismembered deer with legs stacked by a sitting impression. While photographing the scene, he says a thrown stick struck his head, prompting him to run to the house.
Hunter encounters freakishly large tracks in a field south of Cresco
The witness was hunting on public land in northeast Iowa just before dark when they found large single-file tracks in snow crossing an alfalfa field. The stride was far longer than the witness felt a human could manage in that snow depth, and the prints were later described as men's size 13-14 without visible toes. The witness and relatives reported finding two sets of large four-toed footprints in snow that crossed residential yards. One trackway led to a garbage can where bags had been pulled out and torn open, then continued to a neighboring driveway and toward woods and grass. Photographs were taken with a shoe for scale, showing deep impressions larger than the shoe. No creature was seen, and no unusual sounds or odors were noted the prior night.

A week later he returned, found a 14 3/4-inch track showing it had circled him, felt watched, and heard a loud double whistle near the old driveway.

Two hunters parked before sunrise in fog to hunt heard whooping and tongue-clicking calls from the treeline and heard the caller circle them in the woods. A thud was heard and felt on the road and a boulder that had not been there when they drove in was found in the road. They later heard a very large animal moving away breaking branches, found no sign after sunrise, and left to hunt elsewhere.

While deer hunting in the morning, the witness and his partner were stationed a few hundred yards apart with thick cover between them. Both men heard loud whoop-like and howl-like vocalizations along with heavy bipedal-sounding footsteps and branches breaking from the cover between them. The sounds lasted about a minute and unnerved both hunters. The witness did not enter the brush and later returned without further incident.

During a late-season muzzleloader elk hunt the witness and a companion found a large five-toed barefoot print in semi-frozen ground. That evening while glassing a prairie they heard a loud knock from about 150 yards away. The next morning they found three more large prints of the same size and shape in a sandy wash, spaced about 80 inches apart, with one beyond a log showing no break in stride.

Through the night they heard movement around the tents, sticks hitting trees, branches breaking, and had objects disturbed including a tent stake pulled out. They also reported white eyeshine, a pungent odor, a dark figure seen in the treeline after daylight, and footprints and torn branches found in the morning.

While scouting and then deer hunting near a river over several weeks, the witness reports a persistent foul odor, sounds of being followed, and repeated loud wood knocks. The witness found single very large deeply impressed tracks on two occasions, plus stick formations, flattened vegetation, long strides in leaves, and animal remains including hide on a high limb and a bloody disturbed area. A wildlife biologist viewed the first track but considered it contaminated, and later investigators visiting the site found no tracks or signs.

The prints were described as very large with a big toe and a few smaller toes and a long stride. Hunters in the group said the prints looked like Bigfoot prints and differed from bear tracks.

A tall hair-covered upright figure stood partly behind the tree, repeatedly peeking out as the light moved, then stepped fully into view facing them before retreating behind the tree and fleeing through the woods. The next morning the witness found two large footprints behind the tree and another unclear print nearby.
Possible late evening incidents at a mountain home near Little Switzerland
The witness stayed two nights at a friend's house on a wooded mountain development. On the first night outside the house he reported paired knocking sounds, stones hitting the roof, and a brief glimpse of gray movement. The next day he found two partial human-like footprints in a steep bank near a trail. On the second night he heard more knocks and howling, then was awakened by loud pounding on the roof and walls that the host also heard.

On a Friday night during an archery-hunt camping trip, the witness and a relative sat by the campfire while two unseen presences circled the camp, breaking branches, pacing, and making heavy footsteps. Small rocks and sticks were then thrown into camp, including a softball-sized rock that landed nearby, followed by impacts on a food box and the trailer. Others sheltering in the trailer also heard footsteps, breaking branches, impacts, and a heavy sigh, and later a branch-like object was dragged across the trailer roof.

The witness was riding a mountain bike alone on a trail northwest of Chelan in the morning. After rounding a bend, the witness saw a tall, dark-brown, long-haired bipedal animal running away through the forest for about 10-15 seconds. The witness stopped and then searched where it crossed, but found no clear tracks on the trail and no hair or broken vegetation.

Around midnight the witness was with two friends in a small forest near the house when they heard a large branch snap. The witness saw a tall outline about 15 to 20 feet away leaning with one arm against a tree and staring, then it turned and walked toward the road while the witness ran. Companions did not see the figure, and the next day the witness found fresh paths and broken and uprooted trees in the area.
