A girl camper ran to the boys' side overnight saying she saw an ugly black face peering in the bathroom window. The children first thought it was a joke but she appeared terrified. The next day the group found large muddy handprints with an oddly offset thumb on the outside wall under a high small window.

Growl in Nebraska
During a haunted trail fundraiser in a timber, youths imitating whoops and growls got a guttural growl response. When they lit the area, a creature knocked a good-sized tree over and flipped it end over end toward them, then ran away jumping off a hill with loud heavy footfalls.
