The witness, a wildlife biologist, was deer hunting at dawn on his forested property when a jet-black canid-like animal stalked toward him. He fired a .45 at its head with no apparent effect, then yelled, after which it rose bipedally to about seven feet with a broad chest and long thin arms. He fired twice more into its chest, it sank back to all fours and retreated, leaving only uncastable imprints and no blood or bullets found later.

Around 2 a.m. on a clear night in late October, the witness heard growls and other noises outside his home and went out with a flashlight to investigate. He reported a strong dead-animal odor, movement across the road, and green eyeshine, then watched a tall dark bipedal animal cross the road into his woods and viewed it at close range in the treeline before retreating to the house. He reported hearing noises through the rest of the night and finding a few tracks afterward.

She reported a brief side view of a tall, dark, hairy bipedal animal running awkwardly into the woods and disappearing. In early April 2006 around 2:30 a.m., the witness was inside his trailer when he saw a hairy figure staring through a nearby window. When he tried to shut his front door, something held it open against his push. The witness returned to his family's remote cabin to find belongings disturbed and sensed a presence in a front bedroom. After retrieving his shotgun he heard the screen door slam and searched outside without seeing anyone. He then walked to the lake to call to relatives fishing offshore, and on returning spotted a hairy biped rushing from behind a tree and diving into the water. He waited several minutes but it never surfaced, then found a fresh bare footprint with clear toe detail at the water's edge.

The witness and two children were camping late at night beside a bonfire when an animal reportedly rushed past from behind. All three heard an extremely loud scream or roar, and two of them briefly saw the creature before it was gone. The witness described feeling paralyzed or hazy while the children fled to their van. The witness reports seeing part of a tall hair-covered figure peeking from brush, finding deer carcasses cached high in trees, stacked bone piles and dugout shelters, hearing breathing and strange calls, smelling musk, feeling watched, and being chased at night by a bipedal creature that halted near the road.

The witness was deer hunting alone in a swamp in late November when he heard an unfamiliar loud scream to the north followed by a loud branch breaking. He became uneasy and walked out to his car while watching behind him. Near his car he noticed a broad, roughly 8-foot-tall bipedal form standing about 35 yards away behind dense cover, which he believed had followed him. He left with a handgun ready and avoided hunting the swamp for several years.
