The witness camped alone overnight on a forested river island. After exchanging wood knocks with an unseen source to the south, the witness heard slow cautious bipedal footsteps approach and a loud splash in the channel separating the islands, followed later by fainter steps retreating. The next morning the witness searched the adjacent island but found no clear footprints.

Two upright figures, one black and one light brown and hairy, were seen moving parallel to the group and leaping down a cliff, while the group felt stalked and watched as they hurried out to the road.

The witness and two companions explored a deforested and mined area with piled boulders and abandoned mine buildings. The witness was visiting a friend's house near Colton when strange birdlike noises were heard from the treeline overnight. Five other people joined the witness to listen and agreed the sounds were unfamiliar, and shining a light toward the closest sounds made them stop temporarily. The noises continued until shortly before dawn. In the morning, possible unfamiliar tracks and a trail of pushed-down grass with long strides were found in a field behind a stream.

The witness and his son were in sleeping bags in their tent when they heard a loud low-pitched whooping call from boulders just above them. About an hour later the witness heard a loud boom close to the tent. Two mornings later he found a fresh green pine snapped at its base on the boulders near camp, which he inferred was pushed over by the animal that made the sounds.

The witness and a companion were walking up a remote dirt road at night looking for snowboarding hills when they heard a strange sound and found large bare-foot-like prints with visible toes in the snow. After discussing the prints, which were wider and longer than a 12-inch flashlight with a very long stride, a nearby tree began shaking violently and dropping snow and branches, prompting them to run back to the car and leave.

Late at night the witness heard loud walking with dragging footsteps downhill near a path and, with a parent, approached and fired shots without deterring it. They later staked out the area, heard weird noises, and smelled a foul odor. The next morning they found human-like footprints sized to the witness's foot and groups of bent and broken trees.

Late on a winter night the witness took the dog outside and saw a large hair-covered figure standing near a small building about 20-25 feet away. The witness and figure observed each other while the dog wanted to go inside and a strong foul smell was present. After briefly looking away at a noise, the witness went inside for a handgun, and on returning the figure was gone though sounds remained in the woods. A large footprint was found the next day.

The witness climbed into a tree stand before dawn to bow hunt. While it was still dark, something breathed heavily beneath the stand for about 10 minutes then walked away to the southeast. Shortly after sunrise in light fog, the witness saw a large human-like figure about 100 yards away walking east at a fast pace. After climbing down, the witness followed its footprints eastward.

The witness joined a small group for an overnight camp to practice outdoor skills. In the evening the witness walked east of camp, noticed a strong foul smell and heard vegetation breaking nearby before running back to the group. Overnight the campers were awakened by sounds around the camp followed by a loud crash, and by morning the food hung high above ground was gone, the supporting limb was damaged, and a foul smell lingered. The group then packed and left the area.

The witness was camping overnight with friends in the Mount Baker National Forest near the river. Between 2 and 3 a.m. she heard movement approach her tent and brush against it, while a companion in a truck reportedly felt a nudge and saw a fleeting shadow. The next morning the witness found multiple large footprints around her tent, the trail and vehicles and made a plaster cast of the clearest one. While waiting alone in camp later that day she heard persistent clicking from the woods and felt watched.

At night while using a computer at home, the witness heard odd sounds and saw a bigfoot looking in through the back window. The witness greeted it, and it turned away and walked toward the field behind the house. The witness later found a large footprint with apparent dermal ridges on the bank behind the house and reported talk-like voices that could not be imitated.

The witness was riding an ATV with her husband on a forest road and stopped alone to wait for him. She reported a very strong foul odor, a feeling of being watched, and hearing a branch break. When she started to leave she noticed very large footprints over their fresh outgoing tracks. Her husband saw the prints but attributed their size to dust and reported only a faint dead smell.

Two companions were hunting deer on a family property near Pine Mountain when they found a footprint and other tracks near a pine overhang, noticed a localized strong skunk-like odor, and saw a pile of fresh acorns with no oak nearby. As they moved uphill using alternating advances, each heard an unrecognized whistle and the sound of a large boulder rolling, with neither attributing the sounds to the other. Both reported a feeling of being followed uphill.

Two people walking across a frozen lake found a trackway of very large five-toed footprints and followed it for several hundred yards toward the opposite shore. The prints were described as 14-16 inches long with a bridge-like ridge and spaced 5-7 feet apart. While in the area they also heard intermittent small thudding sounds in short bursts.

After a deep growl and handgun shots, they were confronted at the treeline by two large hairy figures that stomped, rocked, and threw branches. The witness was bow-hunting in coastal second-growth forest on the morning of 9/1/01. He heard whooping and scream-like vocalizations followed by a large tree falling, plus heavy footsteps, and later found large ground impressions, broken limbs and tops, and animal hair high on a tree. An investigator later reviewed photos of broken and twisted trees and received frozen scat and hair samples for examination.
Observation of possibly two animals in or near back yard of apartment complex
Over two nights a group of five gathered outside on the property for hide-and-seek and heard strange noises. The husband and a companion went to investigate and saw an entity 50 yards away hiding between two silos, noted for goldish reflective eyes, with a second smaller similar entity present on the last night. Tracks with reported measurements were found where they investigated.
