The witness and a companion were night fishing for bass around an island. They heard several loud splashes from rocks hitting near the boat and then saw a huge upright figure in shadows on the ridge that growled. The figure tore a large limb from a pine and carried it down toward them as they motored away, and they returned at daylight to examine and measure the limb.

Two people were sitting around a campfire in early-morning darkness when they heard heavy footsteps approaching through the woods. The witness was walking home at night near a creek when something began throwing sticks and rocks and following her. The throwing reportedly paused when cars passed. She ran to a bridge where the pursuer entered bushes but continued throwing objects, while she heard footsteps, smelled a strong bad odor, and glimpsed only a large dark figure. Footprints were reportedly found in sand the next day.

On June 20, 2004 around 2 a.m., the witness was watching TV at home when she noticed a large dark shadow looking in through full-length windows facing the woods. The shape moved when she turned off the TV, and she remained in the recliner overnight. The driver was traveling at night in light snow with a young child passenger when headlights revealed a large upright figure near the road. The figure moved downhill on two legs with long strides and a large upper body, which the driver felt differed from a bear. The driver stopped where the figure left the road and noticed smeared tracks in mud and snow leading downhill but did not follow them. The driver later said he believed the figure was likely a bigfoot.

After firing a shotgun into the air, they saw the moonlit outline of an upright human-like figure running toward the water's edge while making an unfamiliar howling sound. The responding deputy initially suspected neighbors, moonshiners or a grow operation, but later found a large hand-like dent in the house and an 18-inch footprint in the creek that he cast. The cast was later reported to show dermal ridges and to be considered authentic east of the Mississippi.

After one companion shouted, a second shorter figure stood up beside the taller slumped figure, and both fled on two legs crashing through small trees. The witnesses estimated the taller figure at 7.5 to 8 feet tall, hid at the fire tower overnight, and noted broken limbs and a sweet unpleasant odor in the area the next morning.

The witness was lying in bed trying to sleep in a cabin bedroom when heavy stomping sounds passed by the window. By moonlight through a curtained window, the witness saw a tall shadowy figure with a large head and broad shoulders moving slowly past. The next morning the witness found a single very large footprint in dirt and grass on the otherwise clean porch where the figure had passed.

The witness and a fellow soldier were on a moonlit two-man patrol defending a simulated missile site during a training exercise. They heard a long loud scream that shifted into babble and cackling, saw a large silhouette on a ridge, and followed it for over a kilometer. When the figure charged downhill toward them they moved to intercept, then stopped amid intense layered odor and withdrew feeling they were in danger.
