A couple scouting their wooded hillside property for a cabin site reported a brief daytime glimpse of a very tall figure that turned and ran, accompanied by whoops, movement sounds and a foul odor. That night both reported banging and stick impacts on their cabin lasting for hours. The next morning they reported finding large footprints and scattered sticks around the cabin.

He also noted a bent-tree structure near camp the prior evening and disturbed logs and tree piles in the morning, but reported seeing no creature.

The claims include regular screaming and howling, a recurring skunky rotten odor, heavy running sounds felt on the porch, sightings of a large adult figure running and a large figure squatting or kneeling near outbuildings, and large tracks found with smaller prints nearby. Follow-up details add a frequently seen tall stocky female moving quietly, brush piles repeatedly dragged from an outbuilding to a driveway, and whoops that were reportedly answered and approached.

After shooting a deer in fall 2013, the witness left his stand to retrieve and field dress it in a ravine. While doing so he heard loud roar-like screams and howls from two unseen sources to his left and right that seemed to converge toward his position. Feeling watched, he quickly dressed the deer and left the area.

A couple camping on the Mogollon Rim reported being awakened in the early morning by very loud, long screams echoing in a nearby canyon. Both spouses listened for several minutes before briefly leaving the tent and returning to sleep. The next morning the husband walked toward the sound and reported finding a large teepee-like structure of heavy cut poles with no stumps nearby. On the second night no screams were heard, but the wife reported hearing large movement in the woods while the dogs remained uneasy.
Possible activity experienced by campers at a popular campground in the Mount Hood National Forest
The witness and two companions camped in the Mt Hood National Forest with a barrel of animal entrails intended as bait. Over three days they reported loud screams from a nearby ridge, nighttime wood knocks, heavy steps and snapping twigs, and found their camp table apparently bitten through. They moved the bait pile away from camp, later found most of it missing with a wet sweet dog-like odor at the site.

On a November afternoon hunt, the witness heard loud yelling mixed with growls and screams nearby and recorded trees breaking and heavy pounding footsteps approaching. On the second evening the witness walked a sandy horse trail about a half mile from an earlier brush trail. He reported hearing an unfamiliar screech/growl, answering wood knocks, loud stomping nearby, and a rock thrown past him, followed by crashing in the brush. He then found a very large bare footprint that he photographed with his shoe for scale before leaving quickly without ever seeing the source.

After shouting and tossing a small stone into the trees, the witness heard a shriek/howl and the stone was thrown back to land at their feet. The witness ran inside, then returned with a flashlight to find twisted vegetation and snapped branches and noted a foul smell.

Late at night the witness and a relative went outside to check a heavy thud behind the house. They saw a deer run past, then a very tall hair-covered human-like figure approach from the woods. After a shotgun shot was fired toward the treeline, the figure veered closer, stopped nearby, then moved along the treeline into the woods where it remained visible for several minutes. A strong odor was noticed and large footprints were found the next day.

The witness and his son were deer hunting from a blind in darkness before dawn. After the son woke the sleeping witness, they heard something large moving fast through brush behind the blind. It screamed, stomped hard enough to shake the ground, snapped limbs, and grunted and growled before leaving quickly. The pair then left the area immediately.

The witness and three companions were camping and sitting around a fire at night when the woods went quiet and they heard a tree being pushed over. They found a pine half pushed over, then heard a scream and loud growl. The witness shone a spotlight, first seeing the legs and then the full height of a tall hair-covered bipedal creature about 20-30 yards away. After watching it for several seconds as it walked away, the group left the campsite.

The witness was hunting with a dog on a sunny afternoon when the dog became agitated and a strong odor was noticed. The witness heard grunt-like noises followed twice by a loud scream or yell, plus cracking and movement in trees and brush, while the dog returned frightened with raised hair. After driving to a more open area across a shallow creek, the witness found two very large barefoot-like footprints that seemed too large and out of place to be human.

Three people spending the night in a trailer heard distant howling that grew closer and seemed to come from more than one direction, and they called back. Small stones were thrown toward them, and they heard stomping, grunting, knocking, movement in brush close by, and trees breaking. They retreated into a bedroom where screaming, walking, and contact with the outside of the trailer continued for about an hour while one of them looked through window blinds and was left frightened.

During a BFRO trip to Bumping Lake with a friend, the guest was woken around 3:30 a.m. by loud bellowing screams. A hand pushed and swished across the tent near his face and knocked back when he hit the fabric, then walked away. At daylight he found a woven-tree shelter overlooking camps and on exit found the road blocked by three pushed-over trees.
