Motorists observe animal crossing the road
Two occupants of a truck on Highway 131 near Brackettville saw a large hairy creature cross the road about 300 yards ahead in the morning. When they reached the spot the creature was gone, but they found a patch of long brown hair on a barbed-wire fence. The witness later heard from a relative that local ranchers had reported similar sightings in the area.

The guest and his wife were riding an ATV to their blind early in the morning when a barefoot figure ran across the trail about 30 feet ahead. The wife did not see it. They stopped and found a fresh bare footprint filling with water and joked about a person out barefoot in cold weather.
