Early morning sighting on Vancouver Island near Cowichan Lake
While driving to work before dawn on a logging road, the witness encountered a dark figure on the road and initially assumed it was a bear. As headlights illuminated it, the figure was seen running bipedally down the road for about 100 feet before veering off through a ditch and up a bank into bushes. The witness described a tall, dark-haired, unclothed biped with lighter patches on its back and rump that never looked back. Later that day the witness found and photographed indistinct footprints at the site.
