The witness and a bandmate visited a woman's property after seeing her on television and camped overnight. They saw a tall black figure at the driveway and later at the firelight edge, had hickory nuts thrown uphill at them, heard limb breaking, and at about 5 a.m. something pressed down on their tent breaking a pole before running off. Similar activity recurred the next night.

In the late 1980s the same group heard something walking through tall grass toward an abandoned house, heard something hit the house, fled, and the next day found a path through the grass and a damaged wall under a window.

Vocalization in Florida
During a large group campout the witness and friends heard a powerful roar from an oak hammock after the campfire flared up. Three went to investigate and found a large round hay bale thrown from a flatbed truck with a bounce indentation and mud. Next morning large human-like tracks were found circling the entire campsite.
