The witness and a friend hiked into a canyon near the home in daylight and stayed until after dark. They heard a loud growl, saw a shredded tree, then saw a giant black bipedal mass cross the trail and heard it parallel them under tree canopy as they left.

Long-duration daylight sighting (distant) on Moscow Mountain
Two companions resting on a high rock overlook watched a large dark biped and a smaller blonde biped moving below in a clear-cut and on a fire road. Over about 20 minutes the figures foraged, interacted closely, and walked erect toward and past the observers before disappearing behind trees. Later the same day the witnesses returned to the spot and reported crushed grass, long stride impressions, and large and small bare footprints.
