Heavy, slow footsteps approached to within a few feet behind the tent, paused, then moved away. The witness briefly followed on foot but saw nothing in the dense woods, and later found several small trees snapped or pushed over beyond a tangle of large fallen logs.

The reporter did not see the source, but the companion reportedly saw something about seven feet tall, after which both fled to the driveway.
