A group of about ten young campers spent Memorial weekend at a secluded forest clearing. After earlier strange sounds and a brief sighting, one camper encountered a tall bipedal figure near the camp bathroom area and alerted the group. Several campers armed themselves, moved children into a vehicle, fired warning shots, and pursued the figure toward a nearby friends camp where they reported being circled by three tall dark-furred bipeds. The following mornings the group reported handprints on vehicles, footprints, nests, and broken-tree crosses and teepee structures around both camps.
Wood knock near Ashland, Ohio (2026)
A couple hiking in a wetland preserve heard several loud wood knocks after crossing a boardwalk bridge. Later on the trail they found several large barefoot human-like tracks pressed deeply into mud, which the reporter photographed. No creature was seen and no other unusual events occurred at the time.
Vocalization in Texas (2020)
Over about four years the household noticed odd sounds, smells and disturbances around their wooded Texas property. They heard voice-like calls, hoots, growls and repeated wood knocks, found scat, stripped and snapped trees, and missing bait. The witness and friends camped at a small creekside site off a mountain road in late June 2018. After evening knocking sounds and a strong musky odor at night, a large human-like creature with yellow eyes appeared at the witness's tent, grabbed it, lifted and dropped the witness inside, then left in a few steps after a shot was fired. In the morning stacked rocks were gone, footprints were found, and a large pine by the carcass had been pushed over.

The witness joined relatives and local researchers for an overnight camp on a flat mountain top. Around midday he saw a tall hairy biped cross a trail and disappear into a valley with gourds. That night the group heard wood knocks and exchanged whoops and howls with something that approached to very close range, then crashed away. Later rocks were flicked at the truck and next morning a muddy hand smudge and many tracks were found.

After returning to the vehicle for a camera battery, the witness found a line of large tracks crossing a dirt berm that had not been there earlier. The witness photographed the tracks and made a cast of the clearest impression, also noting an odd odor and a crashing sound in the area.
