Large, barefoot, bipedal tracks found by trapper in a densely forested area
An experienced trapper reported finding a line of at least twenty large barefoot bipedal tracks that crossed a road and continued down a slope across a creek. The witness followed them briefly but stopped due to snow, blowdown timber and an approaching windstorm, and the original tracks were not measured or photographed. Weeks later an investigator toured the area with the witness and later found two additional tracks in soil, one estimated at 16 inches long with five toes visible and no claw marks.

The witness was hunting from the ground off a road with a relative nearby. After hearing tree breaks, movement, strange noises and heavy footsteps, the witness saw a large red bipedal animal walk along the road. When the witness spoke on the radio the animal screamed and ran away, and two large footprints were later found in silt.

The writer reports finding about 20 large and smaller footprints in an open field near larger woods with a creek bed. The larger and smaller prints reportedly met and then continued together toward a gravel road leading toward another section of woods. Estimated dimensions and stride were noted and photographs were taken and submitted to the BFRO.
Tracks found in snow & photos taken
A relative reportedly found a set of bipedal tracks in snow and followed them in both directions. The tracks are described as unusually deep with a very long average stride, leading from a swampy area through hardwood forest to within 20 yards of a cabin before being lost at a plowed road. Photographs with a yardstick and boot for scale were reportedly taken.

Three college roommates hiked to the Thompson River to fish and camp overnight. After dark they repeatedly heard a childlike crying sound from a nearby ridge, had small river stones tossed into camp, and later heard loud knocks alternating with the cries. At daylight they hiked out, noticing concentrated scat and disturbed ground near oak trees, and concluded the activity was not from a person.
Possible footprints found five miles east of Vandalia
The witness and a companion were walking a foot path around a lake in a small park. They found two large footprints crossing the path from the lake side into the woods and photographed them. The area was unusually quiet and the witness recalled feeling as if they were being watched.
Multiple Tracks Found at Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument
The witness arrived early to hike a park nature trail after overnight rain and found elk tracks on the muddy path. On top of the elk tracks was a set of much larger barefoot human-like prints continuing in the same direction for dozens of feet. No other visitors had been on the trail, and the witness asked a ranger about the prints after looping back.

The witness reports discovering several large footprints near a small stream northeast of Placerville, with broken branches nearby. Only one print was clear enough to photograph, and the witness returned the next day to make a plaster cast. The cast was shown to Fish and Game staff who dismissed it, and it has since been kept in storage.

The witnesses returned late at night to find their tent knocked over with contents spilled. While loading the vehicle to leave, one witness saw a tall brown human-like figure stand up about 15 feet away and walk toward the river. The pair left the area that night and returned the next day to photograph apparent footprints on a hillside.

Before dawn the witness heard the heavy outdoor freezer lid being lifted. After daylight she searched around the house and found two large bare footprints in the driveway about 50 feet away, with no other tracks nearby. She measured and photographed the prints as rain and mild weather melted them, and her daughter also viewed them.

Four people visiting the beach at night built a campfire in the sand. The witness noticed very large, very deep footprints with a long stride they had to leap between. They followed the prints up a five-foot embankment where the prints disappeared. No creature was seen.

Two companions walking a hillside trail at night heard a loud snap and saw two large bipedal figures silhouetted against city lights. After one companion shouted, a second shorter figure stood up beside the taller slumped figure, and both fled on two legs crashing through small trees. The witnesses estimated the taller figure at 7.5 to 8 feet tall, hid at the fire tower overnight, and noted broken limbs and a sweet unpleasant odor in the area the next morning.

The witness was camped alone at the intersection of four logging roads in Northern California, tending a campfire late at night. He became aware of a pair of reflective eyes watching him from behind a bush about 70 feet away and watched them for over an hour as the fire died down until they disappeared. In the morning he found large foot-shaped flattened grass impressions leading to and from the spot behind the bush.

The witness became lost while hiking west off Rux Road and spent about 12 hours traveling through forest and waist-deep swamp. Around midday in a bog near a wilderness lake he found four to five large human-like footprints with distinct toes in the mud. Alone at a primitive mining camp on a warm spring day, the witness heard huge rocks splashing into the river with ground concussion, then wood breaking behind the trailer. Dogs stared down a trail as a large dark shadow crossed it in one step with heavy thumping footsteps. A partner later measured the crossing height at just over eight feet and found freshly twisted saplings and missing riverside boulders.

During a deer-hunting drive in foggy woods, the witness and his father found large bipedal tracks over their tire marks and concluded a bear could not have made them. As they circled back, an unseen animal tracked them, producing a strong foul odor and a high-pitched squeal before thrashing off toward the mother waiting at the truck. They later found uprooted small trees, additional tracks in camp, hair on fencing, and a woody debris structure, and heard screaming and a howl that prompted a relative to leave camp.

The witness and companions drove to the summit of Mt. Mitchell in snow and spotted deep impressions in a roadside snowbank on the way down at night. They returned in daylight and examined a trackway of large prints in 18-inch-deep snow leading up a steep bank into the woods. The prints were about 14 by 7 inches with faint possible toe marks and no claws, and the stride suggested a biped that climbed in two steps and stepped over a three-foot-high branch. They searched the road in both directions without finding a crossing point and concluded the animal had traveled along the road.
