Morning snowmobilers hear howls, tree knocks, branch break 8mi south of Rimrock Lake
Two people on snowmobiles stopped at a bridge in a remote snowy area and removed their helmets. They heard repeated loud howl-like vocalizations from one direction, loud single knocks on a tree from another direction, and a large branch breaking. After about five minutes of silence they heard another series of more distant howls and then left the area.
Barefoot tracks and whistling heard while hunting
While elk hunting on a mountain trail in the morning, the witness found a barefoot-like print in soft dirt and followed it briefly before losing it. Shortly afterward the witness heard an unfamiliar whistling sound, then heard it again later while watching a draw for elk. The combination struck the witness as strange and unlike anything heard in decades of hunting the area.

Four years earlier the witness camped at the same remote site with a companion and the companion's child and heard screams before dark, then after dark heard branch breaking and movement that shook the ground, garbage cans being disturbed, and a loud grunt.

A group was camping overnight at a remote forested lakeside camp. After hearing distant screams that seemed to shift position and prolonged branch-breaking around camp, the witness stayed awake listening while others slept. The witness heard heavy running and breathing pass the RV and noticed moonlight through the windows dim briefly, then later the companion's son fled his tent to the RV reporting tree-banging, movement, darkness at the tent, and a voice imitation. No one saw anything, and the next morning knocking elicited whistle replies from the woods.
