Large, unusual footprints observed in deep snow near Bass Lake
After heavy overnight snow, the witness became stuck while driving down a two-track road toward home and continued on foot. While walking, the witness noticed a line of very large footprints in the snow extending about 100-150 feet before veering into a swamp. The prints were described as much larger than human tracks with a long stride and undisturbed snow around them. No maker of the tracks was seen.

The witness and his wife were driving in their truck on a DNR access road toward a lake in fresh snow. The wife noticed a single file of large bipedal-looking tracks crossing the area near a toilet building. The husband got out, examined them in deep snow, and noted a long clean stride with no drag marks before the trail continued into pines. The pair reported seeing almost no deer sign in the area.
Possible footprints found in snow outside Marquette
The witness and a companion were walking up a remote dirt road at night looking for snowboarding hills when they heard a strange sound and found large bare-foot-like prints with visible toes in the snow. After discussing the prints, which were wider and longer than a 12-inch flashlight with a very long stride, a nearby tree began shaking violently and dropping snow and branches, prompting them to run back to the car and leave.
Family finds large footprint, and hears unusual sounds
When the witness was about seven, the family found very large footprints on a Lake Superior beach. While leaving through the woods toward the car they heard loud screeching and something large jumping nearby without being seen. They left quickly in the car, with the witness feeling the source was too big to be people.
