The witness was night fishing from a dock when an otter nearby suddenly fled. The witness then saw a large grey shape move quickly and silently between cover, followed by a large splash near the dock. Frightened, the witness left immediately and found large four-toed footprints on a return visit the next day.

The witness was photographing along the tree line on the south side of the lake when she heard a close grunting-snorting sound followed by a deep growl without seeing the source. Shaken, she returned toward two fishermen and then left across the dam, photographing a large print in the mud. From the car area she heard the same loud vocalization coming from across the lake where she had been and saw the fishermen hurrying across the dam, after which all parties left.

Two bow hunters found large human-like footprints with toe impressions at the muddy edge of a stock pond in the early morning. They followed faint sign a short distance, covered the clearest prints to protect them, and later returned to make plaster casts and photograph stride. The prints were measured at 18 inches long, and hair was collected from vegetation in a nearby ravine.
