Fish & Game employee recalls following possible tracks while hiking near Little Payette Lake

In November 1979 the witness walked on a low lake's exposed mud flat following the inlet stream and found very large human-like tracks. He followed them about 100 meters and noted they crossed deep water twice and ascended a steep bank without changing stride or showing shaking off. Drawing on lifelong woods experience and wildlife work, he said he could not identify the track maker and ruled out known local animals.
