Possible knocks heard by hunter before sunrise NE of Collinsville

The witness went archery hunting on personal property before daylight and found a small tree near the shooting lane pushed over. After climbing into the tree stand and turning off a headlamp, the witness heard loud knocks like a stick hitting a tree from about 100 yards away in the woods, first four knocks then later two knocks. No figure was seen.
