The witness with a companion also backpacked, made all-night forest forays, and camped with bait to locate the source, finding tracks and bed-like structures with torn branches, while noting dogs refused some areas and little wildlife was seen.

The witness stopped while riding a motorcycle on family property at night and saw a tall hairy figure in a ditch that stood up. The figure chased the witness as he rode toward his house, continued approaching after two crashes, and left after a yard floodlight was turned on. Large humanlike footprints were found in the area the next day.

The witness reported finding three large human-like footprints while fly fishing on the south shore of a river east of town. The prints were documented with photographs and tape measurements, including one about 18 to 19 inches long with a 38-inch step to the next print. The investigator stated that bear, human, and hoax explanations were ruled out by visual examination and estimated a very heavy animal from depth and area.

The witness and a coworker were driving when a tall hairy biped carrying an animal carcass over its shoulder crossed the road ahead of them from east to west during a rain squall. The crossing lasted only a few seconds before the creature disappeared into a creek bed. The next day they found partial footprints along the creek bank but lost the trail in dense undergrowth.

The creature followed briefly then moved away making moaning sounds, and the witness saw a very large four-toed footprint while leaving.

They described it as very mobile and said it jumped a four-foot fence with ease, estimating its weight at 450 to 500 pounds. The group searched the area without regaining visual contact. Shortly afterward at a nearby creek, the driver found a large bare footprint in mud and made a plaster cast of it.

The witness was hiking with family on a trail near their campsite at midday. He noticed a stump-like shape in a sunlit area that suddenly stood and ran away bipedally for about 100 yards. His family did not see it. He reported it to a park worker and later returned to find large tracks and disturbed wood.

Two bear hunters on foot found three sets of large footprints traveling together in a muddy flat back in the woods. The prints were in a low area filled with rain water and were judged to be fairly recent because the edges lacked degradation.
