The witness visited a friend's farm after loaning a truck and found a very large footprint in mud, attempting a plaster cast. Later he saw a dark figure bobbing while holding a tree limb across a field, then saw a hairy long hand touching the plaster. The friend confirmed seeing the distant figure and the friend's wife reported hearing breathing near a shed, followed by rustling and barefoot sounds.

Two large human-like footprints were found in mud where a wide trail of broken vegetation came down a hill to the road. The writer photographed both prints, cast the left one, and collected a hair from between the toes for analysis.

The witness, then a child sleeping in a cabin, claims to have been awakened around 2 a.m. by a deep sneeze-like sound and a strong foul odor. A very large monkey-like head peered into the bedroom window, blocking the light, with huge eyes, a large flat nose, little facial hair and deep nasal breathing. The witness whimpered, the mother entered and the figure left; in the morning plowed vegetation and footprints were reportedly seen.

The witness went outside to retrieve a bicycle. As relatives shouted from the yard and house, the witness saw a slim hair-covered figure with long arms walk past nearby, look toward the witness, and continue into the bush. Relatives searched immediately after and found footprints, from which a cast was made that was later lost.

Near Christmas 1980 the witness was riding a snowmobile with a relative on a forest trail at night when they got stuck. Both smelled a strong rotten-meat odor and then the witness saw a fur-covered bipedal figure about six feet tall run across the trail into the bush. The witness found a large bare footprint where it crossed and bipedal steps through deep powder snow. A parent who arrived later saw the remaining marks and told the witness the figure was a sasquatch.

Afterwards the witness found a porch freezer broken into with frozen food scattered, plus white hairs and ground impressions.

A hunting party spent a fall day along a gasline, noticing a putrid odor and a large bare footprint in the morning. In the afternoon two members heard heavy movement circling in brush, and one moved closer and watched part of a tall dark figure step from behind a tree. The observer described a seven-foot-tall heavily built figure with long arms, no visible neck, and reddish eyes. The pair left the area and discussed the sighting on the drive home.

A contractor doing roadwork found about half a dozen large footlike prints near a bulldozer in a remote part of the Ocala National Forest. Law enforcement and forestry personnel made casts of the prints, described as 17 inches long with an arch, five toes and a four-foot stride. They then saw the partial rear view of a large upright hair-covered animal moving away into dense brush while making a guttural sound, and both fled to the house. Deep ground impressions, broken trees, and loud screams were also noted around the time of the encounter.

A group of six people observed a large, brown, long-haired, foul-smelling animal for about 15 seconds in the morning. The animal walked quickly away without running and disappeared into a swampy wooded area when they tried to follow. The witness found footprints, made a cast of one and gave it to the state natural resources agency without receiving a response, and noted another print in stream clay. No vocalizations were heard and the encounter was described as not life-threatening.

Late one spring night in 1979, the witness and a sibling were in bed in a downstairs bedroom when they saw a tall hairy figure looking in the window and then at the back door apparently trying to get inside. A large hairy face was peering inside from a few feet away and looked directly at the child. The terrified child fled upstairs to a relative, and holes in the snow were later seen where the figure had stood.
