On a warm dark night in late summer 1993, five people inside a relative's house saw a large furry head peer through the back-door window for a few seconds before disappearing. After going outside, the witness stepped in a large pile of fresh scat and noticed a strong unpleasant odor. Nothing else was seen or heard that night.

On a warm summer evening, brothers were playing in a wooded hillside area. One brother ran out of the woods screaming that he had seen a hairy monster. When the others went back with him, nothing was visible but a strong rotten smell lingered and very large human-like footprints were found in soft ground near a spring. Adults dismissed the account, but the brother maintained the claim years later.
