Hunters hear possible vocalizations and find strange deer kill outside Christopher Lake, Saskatchewan
The witness and a companion were bowhunting about 200 yards apart near dark when both heard loud primal screaming from about 100 yards away. Each feared the other was being attacked and ran toward the other, then found neither had made the sounds. They left the area immediately and the witness says he has not returned.

From an open stand in the afternoon, the witness heard extremely loud violent vocalizations and tearing brush from across the river for about 45 minutes. The river sound was drowned out. Afterwards bipedal-sounding footsteps approached to within several dozen yards but nothing was seen, and the witness waited in the stand until pickup.

Over about an hour he heard loud wood-on-wood knocks roughly every 15 minutes that seemed to approach from several hundred yards to near the blind. He later heard movement in a nearby ravine but could see nothing, and the trip organizer suggested the sound was a moose.
