The witness and the witness's son were bow fishing in a marsh area in late morning when something dropped from a tree nearby with rustling and a heavy thud. A large dark-furred animal crouched and then fled rapidly through brush and up a slope over railroad tracks while the dog chased briefly. They saw it from behind running upright but hunched, described as bear-sized and gorilla-like, then left after hearing crunching behind them.

The witness camped alone in her van at a rustic campground during storms. Deer ran toward her then fled after looking toward the treeline, where she saw a high pair of large forward-facing eyes. She stayed quiet overnight hearing howls and screams, and her friend found suspicious tracks and hair the next morning.

The witness was staying five nights in a lakeside cabin in February with heavy snow. On three consecutive nights around 10 p.m., after stepping outside for a cigarette, the witness heard a very loud knock in the woods, often followed shortly by more distant knocks. Nothing was seen and the witness remained uncertain what caused the sounds.

The witness and companions were calling coyotes at the edge of a field at night when they noticed yellowish eyeshine behind a tree. They watched through scopes as the source of the eyeshine moved behind the tree, crouched low, briefly disappeared, reappeared nearby, crouched again and then vanished. An apparent wood knock had been heard earlier in the outing.

After shooting a buck in rain, the witness followed a tracking string that unexpectedly went 15 feet up into trees and across toward high sand dunes. He later found a rear leg, front leg, blood and guts indicating something else had torn the deer. He then saw a wide black figure and a thinner gray figure fight, with one slapped rolling down the hill before walking off.

The witness and a companion were fly-fishing in a river at night when they heard distant screams they did not recognize. Later they heard mumbling, speech-like sounds coming from dense brush in front of them that did not seem human. Unable to see the source and feeling frightened, they left the area.

Two to three weeks after the first glimpse, the Michigan guest and his father heard a howl, went outside, and saw a dark figure sprinting across the field directly at them. They ran inside and saw it standing on two legs at a back window staring at them before they left the property for months.

While working late on a house remodel, the Michigan guest and his father heard a very deep bark and howls. They looked out and saw a large four-foot-tall canine-like animal on all fours run from the pond area toward the house and off into the cornfield.

Seven people standing outside a rural home at night smelled a foul odor and heard a loud whoop from the woods across the street. The husband retrieved a gun and sent the children inside, then imitated the whoop. A fainter whoop was then heard replying from farther away.

After they went to sleep in their tents, they were awakened a little after 4 a.m. by a very loud long yell lasting about 10 seconds from roughly 50 yards away, with coyote yelps and several shorter yells mixed in. After the sounds stopped the woods went completely silent.

Around 2 a.m. on a clear night in late October, the witness heard growls and other noises outside his home and went out with a flashlight to investigate. He reported a strong dead-animal odor, movement across the road, and green eyeshine, then watched a tall dark bipedal animal cross the road into his woods and viewed it at close range in the treeline before retreating to the house. He reported hearing noises through the rest of the night and finding a few tracks afterward.

The witness and a companion walked night trails and noticed a stationary bright light over a ridge. They then heard bipedal footsteps from an embankment, felt watched, and smelled a skunk-like odor. While leaving across the bridge they heard prolonged crying/calling vocalizations that continued to the trailhead. The witness later concluded the sounds matched Bigfoot recordings found online.

The wife woke in the early morning hearing seven low-volume knocks like wood striking a tree from the woods east of the house. She woke her husband, who heard nothing himself. They later looked for tracks but fresh snow prevented finding anything. The husband later wondered if the knocks were related to Bigfoot after seeing a nearby report.

On the morning of November 15, the witness was deer hunting when back-and-forth calling was heard lasting until daybreak. The sounds were described as lower pitched than coyote or wolf and coming from nearby, with knocks to the northwest preceding howling from the southwest. Around midnight in early fall, the witness was in bed watching TV at home when he heard loud howls through closed windows, followed by ape-like grunts. His horse became very nervous and distant dogs were barking. He woke his wife after the sounds stopped and they later compared the sounds to Bigfoot recordings online and found them very similar.

Two witnesses were on the back deck of a vacation cabin at night with a small leashed dog when they heard a loud grunting/growling sound from bushes about 60 feet away. The dog was alert and barking at the bushes. Frightened, both people went back inside the house.

The witness reported ongoing activity near a forested home beginning in early spring 2013. During an initial walk in pines, he heard an extremely loud knock that frightened him and later heard whistles from the woods. He also reported finding multiple large and small track sets. The witness was parked by a vehicle at dusk after a day of hunting, waiting for two companions to return. After putting a rifle in the vehicle, the witness heard footsteps and then an extremely loud, deep guttural roar close enough to feel in the chest and fled by vehicle to meet the companions at a local establishment. The companions said they had heard strange noises and felt uneasy all day, and the group left the area that night.

The witness then saw a large apelike animal leaning over the bank to look at them, heard loud knocks and a sudden silence, and later watched it cross a fence and run uphill out of sight across a field. Shortly afterward three relatives said they had heard a growl and heavy footsteps leaving nearby woods.
