He heard quiet brushing movement circling his position, then a long loud howl rose from the valley, and on the descent the party reported being paced, green eyeshine, and a bright head behind rocks seen on thermal by several members. As the witness took the lead near a thicket he heard a close juvenile-like two-syllable vocalization but saw nothing with his light.

Family hears loud wood knocks at Deer Lakes outside Lake City
On June 12, 2021, the witness family stopped at Upper Mill Pond to fish and watched a moose and calves from their truck. They heard an estimated 8-10 wood knocks from the west tree line from at least three different positions while vehicles came and went. The witness considered people in the woods as possible but later interpreted the sounds as Bigfoot-related after hearing another knock that night at a stargazing stop.

With his coworker and brother-in-law the witness revisited the pond area to find it bulldozed, a track with missing toes, and a large log thrown into the pond with no drag marks. During a multi-day camping trip the group smelled a terrible odor, heard knocks and gibberish chatter at night, then returned next day and fired a shotgun. Returning again that night without the wife, they heard a limb crack and a heavy thud as a rock landed by the buddy. A huge shouldered figure was seen behind the machine before they fled, later finding a high broken limb and a heavy rock.

The witness and a companion were resting quietly on a rocky outcropping during a daytime hike when they heard a low growl-like exhalation immediately followed by a higher-pitched whoop from the forest below. The sounds were attributed to a single unseen animal about 30-40 yards away that seemed startled by a passing mountain biker. They searched the area a few minutes later but found nothing and heard nothing further.

On the second night the witness left the tent with a rifle and light and heard something large and heavy crashing through timber with loud footsteps, then stood guard until morning and left early without telling the children.

The guest took his two young sons camping in a steep Colorado canyon to practice survival skills. During the night they heard a loud scream from across the canyon that approached their camp within a minute. For hours something circled them just beyond firelight, snapping large branches, making heavy thuds, and later mumbling, whistling and throwing sticks. The guest kept a large fire and shotgun through the night until morning.

Two women on an evening hike heard a loud branch break and saw a large bipedal figure running parallel to them through the forest and down a hill. They watched it for several seconds as it moved very fast with long strides and a forward lean, making no running noise despite dry ground cover. Both described it as tall, bulky and covered in dark grey to black hair, concluding it matched a bigfoot and was not a human or common animal.

Just after finishing a story about a previous loud scream heard at the same location, the group heard a loud howl or scream nearby. The witness was sleeping in a tent at a campground with family when he awoke in the night. He heard four loud heavy bipedal footsteps pass through the campsite. A young deer that had stayed near camp the prior nights was gone the next morning. He later speculated an animal had pushed the deer toward others waiting in the woods.
