The witness was walking back toward his vehicle along the creek after using predator calls when he heard a loud wood knock and heard footsteps paralleling him. He glimpsed a large upright figure slipping behind a tree, then caught its face and upper body in his spotlight from about 40 yards for about two seconds before it pulled back behind the tree. He retreated through brush, crossed the creek, and hurried back to his vehicle while on the phone with a friend.

A flashlight shined toward the sound revealed a large owl flying away, which they initially assumed was the source, but later comparison with local owl and coyote sounds left the witness unable to identify it. After moving to western Pennsylvania, the witness took his dog for a hike on Quarry Trail in Linn Run State Park. Something paced him in thick hillside brush, stopping when he stopped, followed by two tree knocks and a loud deep scream from further up. On the return the dog acted alarmed, watching the brush behind him until they reached a rock outcropping and left. A researcher later visited the same area and photographed a bare human-like footprint and overturned rocks.

The witness was sitting in his truck overnight at a wooded construction site monitoring a generator. He heard bipedal footsteps pacing in the leaves and a loud bang on a tank that he believed was a thrown rock. A tall figure stepped to the edge of the woods beside the truck, turned to face him, then walked back into the woods. He turned headlights toward the woods but saw nothing further.

The witness was deer hunting at sunset when deer ran through as if being pushed by something. A tall reddish-brown bipedal figure followed the deer, approached a dead deer, looked toward the witness, then disappeared back up the hill. A wood knock was also noted.

While visiting Toad Road with companions, a companion heard huffing across the creek. The investigator was shown the direction and saw a single bright tree whipping back and forth while no other trees moved. No source at the base could be seen.

The witness awoke around midnight while tent camping near a lake and noticed the woods were unusually quiet. Knocking sounds from up the shoreline were answered by more distant knocks from the woods, with the nearer knocks moving toward the campsite before stopping behind the tent. Nothing was seen, only knocks were heard.

While fishing alone from a boat on Lake Arthur in the morning, the witness heard repeated wood knocks from the shoreline followed by rock clacking sounds from farther west. The alternating sequence continued for about 8-10 minutes until a passing boat caused the sounds to stop. Disturbed by the experience, the witness started the boat and moved to another part of the lake.

They then heard extremely loud roars and saw a large bipedal creature on the hill pounding its chest before dropping to all fours and leaving. They hiked up the trail to their truck, shaken, and later told others.

A hunter walking a dense tunnel-like trail to place salt blocks exited into an open area and saw two large upright creatures about 25 yards away moving away toward the tree line. He watched the first in detail from the side and rear and glimpsed the second's back through trees, hearing footsteps in the grass but no vocalizations or odor. He then discarded the salt block, escorted his wife and child back to their vehicle, and left the area.

The witness and two companions entered the woods after dark to recover a deer shot earlier from a tree stand. While preparing to photograph the deer, the group heard an extremely loud scream from very close range, followed by the sound of something large crashing away through the woods toward a swamp. They saw nothing when they shone lights into the woods and quickly left with the deer without field-dressing it.
