Possible track found and strange occurences on the Neosho River

On a summer night in 2008 the witness was night-fishing by a dam near family cabins when he heard rhythmic splashes crossing the shallow river about 100 feet away and felt intense fear, abandoning his gear to hide in a nearby cabin. Around the same night a relative sitting on a cabin deck smelled a strong death-like odor, heard movement on the stairs and under the cabin, and felt the cabin rock hard enough to knock a VCR and tape rack over. The two compared accounts the next morning on the drive home and concluded the cause was a bigfoot, keeping it to themselves.

Campers hear strange vocalizations for over an hour while camping outside Dorrington

The witness was camping with her family at a family cabin site near Dorrington. Around 2:30 a.m. she heard unfamiliar loud, smooth vocalizations and woke her husband, and the two listened together for an hour or more. The sounds included rising calls and rising-then-falling calls, sometimes seeming nearer and sometimes farther, estimated from a quarter to a mile away to the south. No animal was seen, and a scat pile noted behind the cabin was thought by her husband to be from a bear.

Possible late night encounter by canoeists on Flat Creek near Piney Creek Wilderness

Two companions were quietly floating in a canoe on a dark creek at night when they startled something standing at the creek edge. They heard heavy bipedal footsteps exiting the water, displacing water and making waves, then moving onto the bank. A large rock then splashed into the creek very close to the canoe, after which the subject walked uphill into the woods. The witnesses stayed silent out of fear and never saw the subject because of darkness.

Tree breaking/rock smashing scares young friends

The witness was smoking on a deck behind a house bordering woods on a warm summer night when unusually loud cracking was heard moving east to west, described as sounding like trees breaking. The witness went inside to get a companion, and both returned outside and listened for about ten minutes as intermittent cracking continued farther west. As they were going inside they heard a different loud sound like two huge rocks smashing together for about a minute before going inside.

Possible howls heard in the Three Top Mountain area

The witness was staying alone for a week at a secluded rental house on a fishing trip. On two evenings he heard long, deep howls coming from the northwest, each lasting about 30 seconds and repeating every 15-20 minutes for about two hours on the first night and more distantly on the second. The howls prompted barking from local dogs. He said they sounded very similar to the 1994 Ohio Moaning Howl recording.

Campers report harassment on the Mogollon Rim near Knoll Lake

The witness was reading in a parked van at a remote wooded campsite while a companion napped. After prolonged bark-tearing and movement sounds followed by silence, a long thick branch flew from the trees and struck the van's side mirror with enough force to shatter it. The witness saw its straight trajectory and concluded it had been thrown rather than fallen. Both occupants then watched and listened but detected nothing further at that time.

An owl called shortly afterward from the same area but sounded distinctly different.

22 June 2008 Deadwood, Lawrence County, South Dakota Class B #25415

Possible nighttime visit while camping in the Black Hills of South Dakota

The witness was sleeping alone in a tent at a secluded creek-side camp in June 2008. Around 3:11 a.m. the witness awoke to total silence, then heard splashing and movement in the stream to the north and west, followed by a patterned sequence of loud rock-on-rock smacks. The witness loaded a weapon and waited, heard nothing further, and left at sunrise without checking for tracks. Months later, after seeing a program about primates using rocks to communicate, the witness wondered if the visit had been by an unrecognized primate.

Frightened by the sound, which he perceived as territorial, he abandoned his tent and gear and drove to a nearby town to sleep. He returned at daybreak, found no tracks, and later concluded the sound matched alleged sasquatch vocalizations after comparing it to known animal recordings.

Growl/yell heard near Mount St. Hellens

The witnesses were climbing Mt St Helens at night near the tree line when they heard repeated growling from the woods. The sounds seemed to get closer and louder and appeared to come from at least two sources, one to the west and one to the east. The witnesses said the sounds did not match bears, coyotes, or other animals they knew, so they moved above the tree line to get away and did not look for physical evidence.

BFRO Investigator videotapes encounter in Daniel Boone National Forest

An investigator hiked with two companions to the top of a rocky ridge at night to look into recurring activity. While the companions scanned with night vision and a camcorder, the investigator illuminated a sasquatch-like figure standing close below the rocks with a headlamp and watched it withdraw and walk away. The companions recorded eyeshine in the opposite direction, suggesting a second animal, and the group heard footsteps following them as they descended. They later reviewed the tape and confirmed eyeshine had been recorded.
