Group of twelve pelted with rocks

A group of twelve campers hiked a trail at dusk after earlier rock-throwing incidents. During the hike they reported a musky bleachy odor, distant wood knocks, and repeated rock throwing that continued onto the road and into camp, striking two hikers. Two of the hikers reported seeing a tan-haired, wide-faced, muscular figure with apparently no neck breathing heavily on a hillside, which disappeared after they briefly looked away.

The witness and a relative spent the night coyote hunting from a blind near a field and wooded area. In the early morning they heard prolonged tromping, shaking vegetation, logs thrown, branches breaking, and rapid movement. They saw a huge dark leathery face with big dark eyes peering from dense cover. A third person joined them and they searched the dense woods for about an hour, finding broken branches and demolished logs but no path, before the activity stopped.

Strange screams frighten fly fisherman and cattle near Sundre

The witness camped alone and awoke around 6 a.m. He heard a high-pitched scream like a woman screaming from the south. After he made a whoop call, a slightly lower scream answered from the north about 5-10 seconds later. Nearby cattle immediately became agitated, mooing loudly and stampeding toward the campground.

The guest and a married couple camped at a remote site reached by logging trails. Around 3:40 a.m. the guest woke to loud repetitive rock-clacking very close to the tent. He stayed still in fear until the sound stopped, and later found a large partly buried rock where he thought the sound came from.

The witness and a companion were in a parked car with the door open at a wooded campground. They heard heavy distinct bipedal footsteps first in front of the car and about half an hour later behind it. They saw and smelled nothing, felt frightened, and drove away.

Late night encounter at a farm near Crab Orchard

The witness and a companion parked in a neighbor's driveway at night while the companion went to check a nearby farm gate. The witness reported a strange smell and a growl-like noise from in front of the car, then turned on the headlights and saw a large long-haired figure with large eyes leaning on a gravel pile. They left the area, with the companion later saying something large ran toward the road.

While searching for deer tracks in a remote creek bottom, the witness reported finding twisted vegetation and large barefoot prints. Later that evening the party sat in the area until dark and reported receiving return wood knocks from three directions and hearing unexplained noises. They then reported hearing objects thrown through the woods toward them, with one small object striking a companion, prompting them to leave.

The witness was backpacking and camping with friends at a small alpine lake. Late at night two campers heard something moving on rocks by the lake and then something hit their tent. The next morning they found 6-7 human-like footprints where the movement had been heard, sunk much deeper than the witness's own print, and photographed them.

Late at night while camping on logging roads near Estacada, Oregon, the witness and companions heard an extremely loud, prolonged scream from the dark woods. The witness estimated the source was 100 to 200 yards away and felt the air vibrate. The vocalizations continued for about 30 minutes and appeared to move around the camp while the group packed up and drove out. No creature was seen.

Mountina biker hears whoops, howls, and whistles at night

The witness spent Monday night camped alone near Mt St Helens off Forest Service Road 83 after mountain biking the previous day. Around 10:30 p.m. while sitting and stargazing, the witness heard sequences of whoops, a howl-like reply, further whoops, then two whistles, followed by silence. An attempt to record additional sounds captured nothing, and later coyote yelps from a different direction sounded distinctly different.

Late at night the witness went onto an elevated deck after hearing brush noise and animal sounds. Something heavy walked up a ground-level dock and stopped directly beneath the deck. The witness saw only a large dark shape through the boards while it made loud sniffing breaths, then fled back inside.

The witness left the house early on a Friday morning to go to the truck for work. While outside, the witness heard a vocal sound initially mistaken for coyotes and stopped to listen for about ten minutes. The witness states the sound was unfamiliar and later matched the Estacada call found on the website.

The witness and spouse were camped with a small fire when they heard repeated screams from the west over an extended period. The sounds came about every five minutes for an hour, paused for about half an hour, then resumed more frequently while shifting position. No creature was seen, but after returning home the witness said the sounds matched alleged sasquatch scream recordings on the website.

The witness was resting inside a locked truck with windows up at the Snow Bunny parking lot near the Trillium Lake access road. A loud, deep high-pitched cry was heard echoing through the hills, audible through the closed windows. The witness, claiming lifelong outdoor experience, said the sound was unlike known predators and was unsettling.

The witness was lying awake in a tent at a Rain Lake campsite with a companion already asleep when a powerful but silent ground thud was felt very close to the tent, followed by a brief skunk-like odor. Later that night the witness heard an unusually loud whoop-like sound first taken for a loon. In the morning an indistinct disturbance entering camp and a freshly snapped tree stump were found, and while hiking out the witness felt watched.

The witness was camping with a large scout group in a remote wilderness park. Late at night while several people sat around the campfire, they heard heavy bipedal footsteps pacing in dense brush beyond light range and later heard deep breathing. After most went to tents, they heard distant wolves followed by a closer deep howl that silenced the wolves, repeated more faintly. No tracks were found the next day.

While camping in a tent with six others, the witness heard something large moving near camp followed by distinctive hoot-whoop vocalizations attributed to two or possibly three animals. The sounds moved away from the camp and then returned about two hours later. All seven tent occupants heard the sounds.

The witness was walking through a field to a friend's house late at night when they noticed a dark figure standing at the edge of pines. After watching briefly, the figure turned toward the witness, screamed for an extended period, and ran on two legs into the woods with visible arm swing while crashing through brush. The witness was sitting on the front porch late at night when he heard a loud scream at a distance, followed later by crashing brush and a series of loud moans, growls and howls from across the road. He judged the vocalizations as extremely powerful and unlike any known animal and inferred the source was very large. He went inside and locked the doors.
