The customers suspected a prank, but the witness became convinced the sound was a Bigfoot and later asked not to be sent on further trips.

The source also threw sticks toward his camp. After he fired a rifle shot into the air the sounds stopped, and he remained at camp until the next afternoon before hiking out.

After a shotgun shot was fired toward the treeline, the figure veered closer, stopped nearby, then moved along the treeline into the woods where it remained visible for several minutes. A strong odor was noticed and large footprints were found the next day.

The unit checked team positions verbally and visually and investigated but found no source. That evening they heard a radio report of a separate sighting elsewhere on the installation.

The witness was with two companions walking a forest trail back to camp near midnight while using a thermal monocular and making howls and whoops. After hearing four return howls, the witness saw a bright heat signature through the thermal that peeked from behind a tree, disappearing and reappearing on alternating sides for about a minute. A companion also viewed it through the thermal and reacted with surprise. When the companions moved closer, the source grew smaller, moved through thick vegetation from right to left, and disappeared, with the witness discerning only what looked like a head.

A few days before a tree-treatment job, the witness drove to a turnaround at the end of a logging road to wait for a contact. He heard a loud snap, heavy running footsteps, tree movement, knocks, three whoops, pebble impacts on the truck, a loud yell and a throaty shriek, and glimpsed a dark figure. He left and met his contact at the paved road.
