One early morning he heard a moose-like grunt, saw a large brown creature approaching about 210 yards away, and fired two rifle shots, believing he hit its shoulder and back. The group found droplets of blood and high blood spray on aspens but, after two days searching, never recovered the animal.

Two women who worked for the Forest Service went in to check trails in a scenic deep-woods area. They realized something was following and flanking them to the right, as in the guest's experience. Near the parking area they heard a deep growl unlike any known animal that terrified them but they did not run, and one later called the guest to report it.

The witness stopped a truck on the highway in early morning to let a small dog out. The dog stared up a tree where a large monkey-like creature crouched, then a much larger creature carrying a wild hog emerged. Both creatures screamed at the witness, the female left toward a chirping sound, and the larger male approached, displayed the hog, then let the witness back away to the truck and drive off.

Four coworkers camped overnight to go grouse hunting. During the night something ran through camp and overturned both tents, stepping on one occupant. The witness fired three rounds of birdshot at a fleeing shape that screamed, and the group stayed up until daylight and left without finding tracks.

He heard impacts on a metal container, then saw a dark upright figure by the trees that crept toward him as rocks were thrown. He fled to his car, struggled to open a locked gate, then faced a much larger red-eyed figure that snapped a branch, vocalized loudly, and bluff-charged. He escaped in his car with damage to the vehicle.

While alone in the house napping, the witness heard footsteps come from the kitchen to the bedroom door. Something entered without the door opening and sat on the bed, depressing the mattress. The witness kept eyes closed and prayed until it stood up and walked back down the hall.

Two hunters heard mumbling and found a giant hairy figure rocking in a cave with folded arms. The figure appeared to utter broken phrases and wore leaves around its midsection. When one hunter moved his gun, the figure shrieked, leaped into the water and swam and paddled away, then vanished into brush.

After mockery, the board reportedly lifted and struck one youth, who then behaved aggressively and pursued the others. After long prayer support for a friend under stressful audit, the guest saw a six-foot black silhouette in his dark bedroom hallway heralded by red sparks. He confronted it verbally, then heard a heavy thud beside his bed hours later. The friend later dreamed of killing such an entity and visiting the guest's bedroom to say the attack was over.

The host retold a previous lady guest's claim of ongoing strange activity at her home. She said smoke appeared in her living room and formed into a tall dog-like figure that growled at her. Her friends later reported a very large wolf-like animal chasing their car from beside the house.

After a family trip, other members heard howls and the family later saw large dark figures moving fast on the ridge and trail with trees swaying. The family found large footprints, snapped trees, log structures and arches in the woods.

While descending a mountain trail alone after climbing with companions, the rider stopped for unknown reasons and heard loud growling nearby that the mind reinterpreted as water. The rider felt suddenly hot and euphoric and began removing clothing despite cold wet weather until companions arriving and splashing through water broke the state. Later on the same ride the group found very large fresh human-like footprints without claws in untouched mud.
