Camper has possible early evening sighting in Beaver Creek State Park
In June 2008 the witness was camping and stepped into the woods behind the campsite in the early evening. After hearing a loud crash, the witness saw a dark muscular human-like figure moving quickly through brush toward a ravine about 20-30 feet away. The two companions did not see the figure, and no tracks or other sign were found the next morning.

The witness and three companions turned five dogs loose at night when powerful screams were directed first at the men then at the dogs. Something bipedal with heavy footsteps ran fast left to right toward the dogs, silencing them. The dogs were found wedged in a road culvert and had to be pulled out. The witness was driving home with her son at dusk when a tall, dark-furred biped with long arms crossed the road in front of their vehicle in about three strides and entered the woods. After pulling into the driveway, they noticed a strong rotten odor and heard branches breaking and a high-pitched woot sound. They went inside, and the odor was gone when the witness returned outside an hour later.

The witness and a companion camped beside a strip pond after fishing and cooking. Around 4 a.m. the witness awoke to heavy footsteps coming down a steep high wall to the tent, followed by heavy breathing and a throat-clear that mimicked his own. He shouted that he had a gun while his companion remained asleep, then heard the visitor drink from the water with its hands, sit briefly by the tent, and climb back up. The next morning they found 18-inch tracks at the edge of the reeds.

The next night near dumpsters by the river, the group heard angry gorilla-like grunting and recorded the last 30 seconds as the East Central Ohio Bigfoot Chatter. Shortly after getting out of the car they heard a loud scream and strange yell-like sound from ahead, followed by something moving through brush. After fishing until daylight they walked the creek and found two large barefoot-like prints in a sandbar near disturbed mussels, leading up an embankment into dense thorns.

The witness and a friend were maintaining a camp fire at night behind the friend's house near a wooded ravine. When the witness stepped toward the ravine to gather twigs, he saw a tall black form standing in tall weeds below and watched it move side to side before it looked up showing red eye reflection. After the friend also looked and fled to the house, the form ran across the creek toward a field and the witness ran inside.

A couple having a picnic hiked a short distance into the woods with their dog when they heard loud howling noises that seemed to move parallel to them. They then watched a nearly 8-foot-tall dark figure looking at them for about 10 seconds before it walked upright away deeper into the woods. After returning to their picnic area they heard very loud vocalizations again nearby, believed it had followed them, and ran for their vehicle.

The witness was exploring woods in the morning after hearing activity in the brush and climbed a small knoll for a better view. At close range he saw a creature kneeling on one knee that stood and stared at him before walking into dense woods and looking back once. He attempted to follow with an audio recorder but only heard uncertain sounds in the brush and eventually lost his pack and left as darkness approached.

The witness and companions were night-fishing when they heard an extremely loud scream from the hillside described as woman-like but different. After a flashlight search revealed nothing, the sound repeated three more times followed by loud pain-like howling. The reporter's group and two nearby anglers all left quickly, saying they had never heard such sounds.

In September 2003 the witness and a hunting partner were coon hunting at night in a cornfield in Ohio with two hounds. The dogs went silent and their radio trackers gave no signal, then something large circled the men in the corn with audible running and heavy breathing. A large amount of foul-smelling clear slime splattered onto the partner, and the men retreated to the truck to find both dogs cowering underneath, unwilling to load.
