The witness was on a cabin deck in the evening before sunset when they heard a very loud, long howl coming from the east. The sound occurred 2 or 3 times and was described as louder and longer than a wolf could make. The witness went inside to get another person to listen but believes they were the only one who heard it.

After mockery, the board reportedly lifted and struck one youth, who then behaved aggressively and pursued the others. The witness's brother and companions were walking a trail behind a factory when something large moved in the trees. It came down quickly, pushed trees down in front of it, and made a loud elephant-like sound. The group ran and later arrived loudly at the family home.

The witness said he and a friend stopped to rest on a dried waterfall while hiking down a ravine in a Minnesota state forest when they heard a deep growl from close behind and above them. He said he felt the sound vibrate through his body and was too frightened to look. They ran without being pursued, and he later concluded it could have been a Sasquatch.

When the guest was about fourteen with a friend, they hiked to the top of a bluff and started down a dry ravine. While stopped halfway, a low deep awful growl sounded a few feet behind them. Terrified and unwilling to turn around, they both bolted down the rocky ravine.

The witness got out and approached for a close look at their faces and build before returning to the car as they left.

A hunter walking out after dark past a cemetery and dense pines heard a single whistle, whistled back, then heard loud screaming and tree shaking. He fled to the truck and left with his companion. The next day both returned and found pyramid-like piles and a large orange scat pile they photographed and sent to wildlife contacts who did not recognize it.

At the family home in summer, the witness with his mother and young brother heard a loud repeated growl-gibber vocalization from outside over an extended period. None of them recognized it as a known animal. They were frightened and stayed inside.
