Shortly after moving in, the witness and his partner were lying in bed when they heard shuffling and quiet deep murmuring outside. The sound seemed to move from one side of the bedroom to the other, suggesting two sources. Motion cameras covering the driveway did not alert, leaving them frightened and confused.

He heard two different sounds, walked trails through the woods toward them and pushed the presence off onto an adjoining lease. The guest also recorded chimp-like sounds, and activity eased when her husband worked locally but resumed when he worked nights.

The guest and companions heard whistles, wood knocks and a pig-like grunt approaching up a ravine. A very tall light-colored massive creature emerged about 90 feet away and crossed quickly through weeds before descending a steep ravine without slipping. The guest chased with a video camera but only captured leaf glare, later finding a flattened grass trail where it had passed.

The guest and two companions camped for the first time on a large rural property. During the first night they heard a fast-moving loud vocalization, prolonged limb-snapping, stomping and tree-shaking across a field. Later the guest sensed being watched, investigated a thicket and encountered an overpowering ammonia-like odor that he interpreted as a threat display.

Around 11 p.m. the witness and a female partner ran to a reported break-in with fighting above the post office after the janitor said someone was being beaten. The upstairs apartment was abandoned with cobwebs and dust showing only their own footprints. They searched tactically and found no one.

For almost every night over the next three months the witness returned to the same area to fish. He repeatedly heard hollers as something walked by and heard movement in brush behind the original encounter tree. When he caught fish he left them by the tree for it and then walked away.

On a morning visit to a research area, the witness saw a dark-haired upright figure stand up in a wheat field about 50 yards away and run toward the river bottoms. Wheat about four feet high suggested it was about eight feet tall. The party then followed its path and heard footsteps and knocking or mouth-popping paralleling them on a ridge.

About a year after the first sighting, the witness returned to hunt the same woods and heard someone walking. After calling out and firing a shot in the air, something charged through the brush breaking branches. He fled and ran all the way home without looking back.

Over late summer into fall the guest and his wife repeatedly heard something in the woods by the painting studio baying, whining and almost crying in the dead of night. It occurred every couple weeks, about half a dozen times, and shining flashlights revealed nothing. The sounds then stopped and did not recur.
