He noticed movement from a ditch and watched a tall thin hair-covered figure walk carefully then sprint across a field to avoid bright farm lights. The figure ran bipedally at remarkable speed before dropping to all fours and disappearing into the treeline.

Something kept pace with him in the trees with loud nasty huffing wheezing breathing. He ran home hyperventilating and his parents later found a pushed-over trail in the tall grass where something had run.

At his uncle's hillside house at night the adults saw something moving trees and went with guns to look. In a flashlight beam the witness saw a huge tall creature distinguished by massive upright pointed ears. His uncle fired a shotgun and it gave the same loud girthy scream heard on the Fourth of July, after which his father carried him running back to the house.

After a ground artillery shell exploded during family fireworks, a loud blood-curdling scream came from the woods. The family dog that had ignored fireworks went on high alert. The father ended the fireworks and sent everyone inside.

The witness led clients before dawn to an area where elk had been bugling the night before, but found total silence. At sunrise he bugled and heard a loud siren-like howl from the deep canyon, followed by repeated pounding like tree knocks or rocks. The group listened briefly then left to find elk.

Three hunters walking out in rain and moonlight felt watched and heard steps above them. The witness hid and scoped a large figure crouching then standing on the hillside. They prepared to shoot, but one companion fled in panic, and the other two held fire because its posture looked manlike, then left to retrieve their friend.

While walking to a hunting point the witness heard loud screaming for help in the canyon but could not locate his brother or father. When he returned, neither had heard anything. His father later linked the area to an old cabin where a family was found dead, and the witness says he has heard the screaming two or three times near dusk.
