Footsteps in Louisiana
On his first trip to the Louisiana area the guest sat all night in a tripod stand over a clear-cut meadow on a fence line. About midnight he heard heavy bipedal footsteps approach from behind without a light, then cross a barbed-wire fence. Loud clicking began and was answered from both sides as the animals moved away through brush.

Several months to a year later the guest hunted overnight from a high climbing stand in the same Louisiana bottoms, about a few hundred yards away. The witness and a companion were deer hunting in the evening from a ground blind and a nearby tree stand in wooded ravines. The woods went silent before heavy footsteps that could be felt, grunting sounds, and two large trees falling without wind occurred. The pair left early without seeing the source.

Earlier in the same season the group was camped overnight in a basin while elk hunting. Something circled the camp at night and frightened guard dogs that normally showed no fear. The next day the men followed large barefoot tracks with very long strides and a damaged toe from behind the camp to a canyon.

A loud scream-roar came from the brush, and the witness fired multiple shotgun loads into the shaking vegetation. A huge dark figure then ran off on all fours, breaking small trees while screaming in apparent pain, and the witness fled.

Years later the friend's parents, who had previously mocked the story, told him they heard the same sound at night. They were in their new house on a hill with windows open when it occurred. They said they would no longer make fun of the account.

He heard unusually loud and persistent hog-like squeals circling at a constant distance, then the woods went silent and a very loud, long scream directed at him caused intense fear. He abandoned his decoys and ran to his truck and later told a friend he thought he had seen Bigfoot.

While hunting in upstate New York, the guest and his brother met in a field and heard what sounded like a little girl yelling for help. They called back and searched deeper into the woods several times with no response. They felt uncomfortable and left.

The guest took his friend to a peninsula swimming hole at night, making noise for bears. They heard large branch breaks and heavy bipedal footfalls closing in and paralleling them out. Two deer emerged and walked with them to the car while the sounds continued alongside.

They watched 15 minutes until the battery died, heard movement, screaming and chatter for hours, and next morning found scat and hundreds of footprints over their tracks.

The guest brought his wife to the aggressive area. Walking out, a deafening scream knocked his wife down, heard only by them though three others were nearby. She wanted to leave but stayed. That night things walked around, opened a cooler, and at 5 a.m. dropped rebar with a clang and fled.

Around 2 a.m. the guest heard clicking and movement around tents and vehicles. After hours of activity, something lifted a Dutch oven lid, charged 30 feet, pushed a fist through his tent window and then pushed its face inches from his. He held a pistol, heard a voice telling him to kick his legs, did so, and the group left chirping. Urine, prints and handprints were found.
