Girls see tall upright animal shake tree then run off on two feet
Two companions leaving a house through the back noticed sudden silence followed by crashing sounds from a swampy gully below. They saw a large hair-covered bipedal creature standing in the water shaking a tree. The creature ran through the swamp and trees, and the witnesses immediately fled.

Rounding a trail curve, the witness saw a large hair-covered figure about 50 yards away and observed it for a minute or two before it walked away into the woods. The witness noted a foul skunk-like odor and then told the approaching scouts they had just missed an elk.

The witness turned the kayak outward and then saw a large gray animal walking away knee-deep in the water while hunched over. Two relatives camping at Lost Lake experienced heavy stomping and snorts beside a tent at night, then saw a pair of glowing eyes in the darkness approach them before it ran away. The reporter learned of the night incident in the morning. The reporter then found and photographed a large human-like footprint estimated at 15-16 inches.

The witness was indoors in the evening when distant howls were heard behind the house. About an hour later a very loud screaming howl was heard from just outside an open but blind-covered window. The witness felt paralyzed with fear and did not look out. Afterwards a relative's dog was found cowering in a corner having defecated, and it stayed hidden the rest of the night.

The witness was reading on a cabin porch late at night when hearing footsteps and a twig snap in brush nearby. The witness turned on a light and saw a crouching figure that then stood upright and ran away quickly with long strides. The witness went inside to tell relatives and reported sleeping little that night.

In June 2001 the witness's children discovered large footprints in the field behind the family mobile home and photographed them. About a week later the children heard something running across the hillside while playing at the creek, and the family dog chased it and later returned covered in slime. The children later encountered large rocks rolling toward them on the hill, and the witness heard a loud prolonged growl, with a horrible unidentified odor lingering after the hillside activity.

Shortly after he and his wife were in bed, they heard strange evolving vocalizations from the woods behind the house through an open window, including babbling, crying-like sounds and loud screaming lasting about three minutes. A neighbor's flashlight appeared during the screaming, after which the couple closed the window and the sounds stopped.

The couple was outside their house late at night calling for their pet cat when loud hoot-like calls started nearby and multiplied into many very loud varied screams and laughing-like sounds that built to a crescendo then stopped abruptly. After a period of silence with rustling and a loud snap, they got into their car to leave. While driving away they saw a large dark upright figure with glowing yellowish-orange eyes near the road and noticed a strong musk odor.

Around 1 a.m. large rocks began falling around their tents for several hours, despite no cliffs or steep grade that could explain natural rockfall, accompanied by very loud branch cracking. The witness got up repeatedly to look but saw nothing that could explain the activity, except a deer that stayed in camp until the disturbance stopped.

Campers sleeping at a mountain camp were awakened late at night by loud whoops and a dog-like howl that repeated with variations for about two minutes. Their dogs stayed unusually still and silent. After the call he heard a noise and saw a large hairy human-shaped figure about 60 feet away walking up a slight incline. He watched for about five seconds, noted it lacked a bear-like snout, then ran back to the tent to tell his companions.

The witness felt the sound was threatening and unlike familiar animal sounds, but retained doubt about a natural explanation.
